Kingsbury Bible College is proud to be accredited with Transworld Accrediting Commission International.  The Transworld Accrediting Commission International (TACI) is a professional, federally recognized, non-profit church educational organization whose philosophy is to demonstrate accountability to the consuming public for education obtained in nontraditional evangelical educational institutions. This accountability is demonstrated by institutions that are accredited by TAC, having documented evidence of compliance with TACI standards of structure and governance, material resources, policies, faculty, and curriculum.

Vision

Kingsbury Bible College was birthed out of a vision to expand educational possibilities to those in leadership on both a regional and global scale. Co-founders, Drs. Jerry and Karen Dotson believed that academics could be offered in a variety of mediums to fit the diverse needs of those in both full-time and part-time ministry.

Mission

Kingsbury Bible College operates under the founding principle that students should be first and foremost. Our goal is to have multiple local campuses both nationally and internationally to make education convenient, affordable, and attainable for the body of Christ.

Doctrinal

At Kingsbury Bible College, we are and will permanently be committed to the tenants of Biblical Christianity and academic excellence. The leadership of Kingsbury believes in educating each individual so they are prepared to walk with excellence in life through a balance of outstanding training, spiritual awakening and discipline, and supernatural empowerment as outlined in the Bible and made available through faith in God, the Father; God, the Son; and God, the Holy Spirit. The college further believes that the only source of true awakening is through a belief in and experience with Jesus Christ as both Lord and Savior accompanied by the power of His Holy Spirit. 

Staff & Board Members

Dr. Jerry Dotson - President - Board Member

Dr. Jerry Dotson is an author, educator, mentor, and minister with a vision for building partnerships within the Kingdom of God for over fifty years. He has served as a senior pastor for thirty-five years and Director of Practical and Advanced Education for denominations. He completed his Master’s degree under the tutelage of Dr. Peter Wagner and received his Doctorate of Ministry from Cornerstone Graduate School.  He is co-founder of  Kingsbury Bible College.

Dr. Karen Dotson - Administrative Dean

Dr. Karen Dotson has a Doctorate of Ministry from Cornerstone Graduate School and a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University. She has served in ministry for over thirty years in the capacity of administration, teacher, and state meeting speaker. She is the author of "Practical Education Curriculum Series: The Minister's Manual".  She is co-founder of Kingsbury Bible College. 

Dr. Carolyn Cecil - Equipped Instructor

Dr. Carolyn Cecil has a Doctorate of Ministry from Kingsbury Bible College, and a Bachelor of Science from Madison College (JMU) in Harrisonburg, Va., with a double major in History and Social Science, and minors in English, Sociology, and Geography. Carolyn has been teaching in a variety of capacities since 1968. She was employed by Roanoke County Schools for 37 years, teaching at her local high and middle schools. Additionally, Carolyn teaches on many Christian subjects, but her favorites are the Work of the Holy Spirit and the Spirit Baptism. She is the author of "Equipped: Equipping and Empowerment for Christians and Lay Ministers (3 volumes)" and numerous children's books.

Dr. Jason Dotson, D.C. - Board Member

Dr. Jason Dotson received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from George Mason University and completed his Doctor in Chiropractic Medicine at Life University. He is a Certified Chiropractic Wellness Practitioner, which focuses on health rather than disease. He is credited with developing the Sciatic -Relief Technique, which targets radiating leg pain, which he has since taught to other chiropractors across the United States. Dr. Dotson received his Doctorate of Divinity from Kingsbury Bible College.

Our mission and venues create an outstanding opportunity for an intensive time of spiritual nurture, encouragement, praise, worship, and ministry in and with a larger segment of the Body of Christ.

Sheryl Merritt

Sheryl Merritt has been an ordained, Spirit-filled minister of the Word of God for many years, and has been called and anointed to proclaim the prophetic Word of the Lord.  Sheryl’s gifts and callings minister to people of all ages to “Help Release them through prophetic ministry into their destiny and purpose.” Her mission is to help the body of Christ become all they can be in Christ Jesus. She powerfully declares that we need to know our destiny in Christ … we need to be about our Father’s business with certainty, passion, purpose, courage, and compassion! Teaching others how to operate in the spiritual gifts God has given them, Sheryl’s “Bible Boot Camps” equip those attending to go into the nations to help others. As a corporate consultant, she ministers the business success secrets within the Word of God on a corporate level, timely for this season.

Ty Walker

Ty is a filmmaker, farmer, entrepreneur, and photographer with a passion for God. A native of Virginia, Ty graduated from James Madison University and traveled to California to work on staff for the SoCal School of Supernatural Ministry and the Pasadena International House of Prayer. He has traveled internationally filming documentaries such as “Clean water- Tajikistan”, “Al Saamindoon” highlighting the Kurdistan refugees in Iraq, and “100 Miles” chronicling the drive of 50 head of cattle 100 miles to a church and school to enable them to be self-sustaining. Ty’s current project is writing a curriculum for a spiritual and farm skills internship.  He resides in New Castle, Virginia with his wife and two small children.
